1970's Election in Seremban

Ahah! Wonder how was election during 1970s? I wasn't born then... Luckily my dad took tonnes of photos during the election campaign. See picture below. The first man on the picture, Dr. Chen Man Hin is running for election, and my dad kinda helped him at that time. Dr. Chen is actually my dad's friend, and also my family doctor. His clinic is still around (in Seremban, of course) and he's still very healthy and energetic, despite his age now is almost 80 years old!

"Running" for election.

Yay, you reached! The "Rocket" at Seremban Lake Garden roundabout, opposite used-to-be-Public-Library. The Rocket's butt.
One of Dr. Chen's supporter. Can you see there are no high skyscrapers in Seremban at THAT time?
The white building = Public Library.
Look at the crowd!
Ahah, spot my mom! She's the one standing on the right, clutching on brown handbag. The woman standing in front, wide smile, wearing flowery dress is... actually... Dr. Chen's wife! Please ignore the scribbles... it's done by ME when I'm small, and dunno wtf I'm doing...
"Dacing" vs. "Rocket"
"Vote for me, free medicine for all!", says Dr. Chen.
Does the building seems familiar to you, Seremban-kia?
That's the election during the year 1970's....

General Election?

It's election, everyone! March 8th to be exact. I am eligible to vote, and I AM GOING TO VOTE! This is our rights and we are lucky to be able to vote for your next government. This 12th General Election is my first time to cast a vote.

This time of the year is where we can see banners of parties hanging everywhere. From light poles to trees to housing areas to cars to clothings! There are humorous blog entries (all in occasion with the election), like this one. Some are just general on general election. (huh?) This one is reminding everyone about your responsibility, and that your "votes
are for the sake of you and your generations' future".

I received an e-mail from my colleague, saying about one of the parties. I copied into this blog entry (I think it's quite interesting...) but I ended up deleting it. I don't wanna end up like the famous Namewee (from the creator of Negarakuku). I don't wanna get sued. And I deleted the e-mail from my blog (and from my Inbox).

To quote Namewee: "I don't have money, please don't sue me".

Here's a special blog created in conjunction of General Election.

Indulge!

Compilation of CNY Reunion Dinner

Date: 16 February 2008
Venue: Regent Restaurant, Seremban, Negeri Sembilan

It's a tradition for us to have Chinese New Year reunion dinner every year. I didn't attend it for the past 2 years because I was studying in Kota Kinabalu back then. This year (wee-hee), I'm able to "toss the food" with my friends!
Pre-dinner Pictures

Crazily snapping pictures with high school friends before food comes!
