Another CNY Dinner!

Pardon me on my ignorance to my post on Hong Kong, Shenzhen and Bandung. Too many things to write, in so lil' time. Oh gawd... Not to fear, I will write them down as soon as I finished my current post. ;) Thousand apologies. Now back to Chinese New Year! (OMG, I gotta get scolding from all of you as I'm still talking about CNY ya allah Valentine's Day pun sudah berlalu wtf)

Can't be denied that Chinese New Year is the time to reunite. We did this every year. Every single year. Organizers and venues varies from one year to another. This year :) Siew Yee and me are the organizer (cos we were late for last year's reunion dinner wtf) woohoo and we had stressful great time planning for it! Really do wtf.

Venue: Dragon Palace Restaurant
Date: 31 January 2009
Time: 7:00 pm initially (Malaysian culture: arrives at 8:00 pm)

Read last year's post:
1. Compilation of CNY reunion dinner - compilation of photos from 3 cameras owned by Jet, Vennie and me.
2. What we did with the camera placed on top of the upside-down bowl. Haha, great laugh! Click if you are curious.

The silly thing we did... :D

Photobucket
Toss it high, girls!

Photobucket
According to Pohyan (2009) - scoop one bite of "lou sang" into your plate right after finished tossing. This is to invite "choy" (prosperity) straight onto plate and into your mouth! (What a theory.)

Photobucket
The oh-so-oily-fattening-sin rice of the night.

Photobucket
The "pun choy" - which means variety of foods in a big (suppose to be in a claypot, traditional style) wok, arranged orderly by layers. This was served (traditionally) in rural kampung areas in China.

Photobucket
Up coming organizer of year 2010: Wainee (in cobalt blue) whom arrived LATE, very late

Arrays of pictures coming right up. Girls camwhore. Exit if you can't stand our cuteness us. Lol~ :D

At the end of the night, we cleared the bill and bid each other bye-bye.

In everyone's life, at some time, our inner fire goes out.
It is then burst into flame by an encounter with another human being.
We should all be thankful for those people who rekindle the inner spirit.

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!

Updates on my V-day:

There's no romantic candlelight dinner, no saxophone serenading love notes, no love poems being read to me wtf. Nevertheless, 2009 Valentine's had been a special one indeed. How special is mine? Read this: I sold flowers to lovers at KTM Midvalley.

I received flowers and at the same time - I sold them too. :o

Photobucket
My beautiful gerbera.

Photobucket
Beautifully wrapped and tied up by Dana.

Photobucket
Given to me by my dearest. :k

Photobucket
Which only lasted for good few days before it died. Thank God for digital camera.

My overused phrase of the day - "Sir, flowers for your gilfriend?", "Encik, bunga untuk teman wanita anda?". The respond I received was either, "Sudah beli", "No, thank you", or just a simple smile.

Photobucket
Smile if you clueless on how to let down kind-hearted people.

The main reason why am I selling flowers on Valentine's Day was to help out Wei-Hwa's sister, Dana. She wrapped 14 beautiful bouquet of flowers and all sold within a day. :) Good start for a business! Great news: She will be wrapping again for Mother's Day this May *wink* those who are interested to buy lovely flowers for the woman in your life, you can pre-order now. E-mail Dana at danawsf[at]yahoo[dot]com for more information on design, type of flowers and price. :D

As for him, I have pre-ordered (through an online webbie) special cupcakes to mark down V-day and his birthday! (his birthday was 2 days after V-day, yiipeee double celebration)

Photobucket
Me in the car as we waited for the cupcakes.

Photobucket
Taadaa... for him.

Photobucket
For you, my precious cuddly bear~

Photobucket
Photobucket
I wish to stay entrapped forever.
With you for all eternity.
Our hearts, always as one.

Photobucket
Happy him as he receives the cupcakes.

Photobucket
No, don't eat it now! I'm not done taking pictures yet!

Photobucket
No bitting unless I'm done snapping. Lol.

Photobucket
Yes, that's you, the bear. Cuddly bear.

Photobucket
Enough of cupcakes, it's time to sell flowers. We rushed to the said place immediately after collected the cupcakes.

Photobucket
The venue? Commuter station, Midvalley. ;) Sheau Huey doing great!

Photobucket
Well, Dana doing not bad either.

Photobucket
Other competitors!

Photobucket
No luck for him. More smile and you will succeed, dear!

Photobucket
I sold 2 bouquets. ;)

At night, 5 of us (Dana, Dana's bf - David, Huey, Wei-Hwa and me) had dinner at Taman Danau Desa. After dinner (and a good laugh), we head on to Dana and David's apartment in Bukit Robson.

Photobucket
Night scene from Bukit Robson, KL. Isn't it serene and peaceful?

Photobucket
Photobucket
Who will imagine KL can be busy and hectic by looking at this scene?

Photobucket
The next few hours of V-day were spent watching DVD at Dana and David's place. Hahaha, gotta watch this movie (for those who have not watch this before) - Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay. Freakingly funny! :D
