Selamat hari raya,
Kepada saudara serta saudari,
Setahun hanya sekali,
Meraikan hari yang mulia ini...
jengjengjeng...
Pada hari yang mulia dan suci murni (sesuci minyak Suci Murni wtf), we decided to head to Malacca on the first day of raya. We were damn sure that there won't be many cars (as majority Malaysian back to their kampung already), but little that we know, Malacca town were conjested as ever! :( Huhuhu... Traffic jam was worse than normal weekends.Malacca drivers are worse than KL drivers!

We have reached the red shophouses.
First place to explore: Jonker Walk!
And the first thing that caught my eyes at the Jonker Walk: Zheng He Tea House.
We set off into the "road not taken".
Yee Ping: Haha Mei-Wah, when I saw this picture, I terbayangkan your wedding picture pulak :p.
Me: Huh? Lol... (=_____________=") *sweats*
Me: Huh? Lol... (=_____________=") *sweats*
Snapping picture of him snapping picture of me.
Siew Yee rapidly marched forward.
Us, trying to fit in.
Ooohlala~ big butt~
Maharaja Wei-Hwa and Maharani Mei-Wah - now BOW to us, you commoners!
Bell of Peace
A Ming bell (replica) stands for universal peace, on top is the Celestial (round) and bottom is the Earth (square) and in cebter is human beings. It symbolizes the Chinese philosophy of harmonious interaction among them in order to ensure universal peace.
Jasmine, pu-er, tit kuan yin, oolong tea anyone?
"Cha, cha cha"
The uniqeness of this house made me go "wow"!
Thank god we brought him along (and I don't mean Wei-Hwa, he was there to have fun and to test out his photography skill! Not purely as a driver/photographer, mind you!!!). Introducing... my old time friend, Mr Self Timer! :) Oklar, Self Timer can be a Mr or a Ms... But having another "Mr" following us around make us feel safer wtf.
Siew Yee linger around for puppet show.
Guess who took this picture for us? Wei-Hwa?
Now, guess again! ;)
An old player reminising the good old days...
An antique door (it gave me the ancient China wooden house feel).
Ya allah, kitab-kitab Cina yang aku tak tau baca...
"People mountain people sea" wtf.
Hey Uncle, look at the camera... 1 2 3, SMILE! Why you are not smiling?
Siew Yee sexual harassing the lion statue. Lion statue said, "Aaaa~ Come on baby!". LOL! Look at the lion's expression!
The other side of the entrance. You can enter through the narrow road or if you don't fancy adventure (just gimme the tea, damnit), you can enter through here, instead. :D
As we walked along the Jonker Walk, we stumbled across this "Cop Mohor" maker. Give him your simplified Chinese name (and money wtf) and he will engrave your traditional Chinese name into your selected stones. After that, you can end your letters with a big bloody red chop! I has two - one bought from Singapore and another one were handcraved by my uncle! :D
Nice
Extraordinary hanging
Look through the holes, what can you see?
Meow~
Us, trying to fit in...
Wall lamps made of batik cloths. Beautiful
We are hungry!!! As we walked along the Jonker Walk, our eyes scanned around for the perfect eatery area. Our aim for the day: Nyonya food! As we walked and walked, we came across Nancy's Kitchen. This restaurant serves traditional Nyonya cuisine and appeared in Lonely Planet before!!! :)
Nyonya food, as the name suggested, is the food of the Baba-Nyonya in Malaysia and Singapore. Known also as the Peranakan or the Straits Chinese, these groups of people are descendants of the very early Chinese immigrants to the Nanyang region. The origins of the Baba and Nyonya could be traced all the way back to the Chinese Admiral explorer Cheng Ho, who sailed across the Indian Ocean more than 400 years ago. Nanyang refers to the the Malay peninsula and the islands of Java.
Nyonya cuisine is generally referred to as the result of inter-marriages between Chinese immigrants and the local Malays, which produced a unique culture, cuisine and heritage. To assimilate to the local culture, these early days Chinese immigrants started to adopt the Malay traditions--the men were called Babas and the women were called Nyonyas.

Jonker Gallery, the souvenir shop.
"Play safe, use Malaysian rubber"
"To lah or not to lah, that is the question in Malaysia"
Reflection on Malacca River.
The windmill at The Stadhuys.

Flowers blooming to the peacefulness of Malacca.
I came to Malacca in the day, early this year. But this is the first time I came to Malacca for it's night view! And it's totally marvelous!
Christ Church Melaka, the landmark of Malacca.
The clock ticking away, reminding everyone in Malacca that time is precious and it's ticking away without us appreciating it.
Siew Yee and me and shadow wtf.
Siew Yee's turn and I looked sibeh pretending cute wtf.
Squating by the longkang, all for the love of good shot.
My "get-you- face-thinner-without-surgery" shot.
An interesting and ‘must experience’ ride for visitors to the historical city of Melaka is the unique beca ride. This beca ride or trishaw ride is an eco-friendly mode of transport where two medium built persons are ferried by the trishaw operator. It is a cheap and excellent way to see the narrow streets of Melaka especially around the old sector of Melaka.

The ship ala Tradewinds, my favourite Yahoo! Game. Lol~
As we are about to head back to Seremban, we passed by Medan Selera Bunga Raya for "Hor Chien" (fried oysters). We wouldn't stop our car if we didn't saw that there are HEAPS of people with ONE mission in mind: HOR CHIEN!!! Our curiosity made us parked our cars by the road side, get down the car and move forward to the Aunty, and ordered "Aunty, one packet please!".
At night, Malacca's famous fried oyster (Hor Chien) stall operates here. They have been operating here before the 2nd. World War and the fried oysters used to be fried over a firewood fire. Now, they are fried by gas burners instead. Ever popular with Malaccans, you will see cars parked along the right of this narrow street during the night for their fried oysters.Another popular stall next to this hawker centre is the wan tan mee stall which also operates at night at the coffee shop next door. It is opened from 7.00pm till midnight.
(Article exerpted from HERE)
Guess how long we've waited?
1.5 FREAKING HOUR!!! That one and half hour!!!
The uncle was not disturbed by the quantity of people waiting for his Hor Chien. Concentration were high and I am sure his motto - "Quality over quantity".
Medan Selera Bunga Raya Hor Chien: RM5.00 (Don't expect to order small/medium/large! One size for all!!!)
:) :) :) MY FAVORITE: PINEAPPLE TARTS!!! :) :) :)
And it's freshly baked to perfection!

Good Morning your highness! Salute to Maharani Mei-wah and Maharaja Wei-hwa for their wonderful escapade to Malacca.
