As the hawkers waiting for the oil to boil to the right temperature before frying, they add PLASTIC STRAWS and PLASTIC BOTTLES into the oil!
This, they (the hawkers) claimed that plastic keeps the fried fritters/chicken stay crispy for longer hours!

wah...so scary. Not dare to eat fried food outside. Those selfish hawker will do whatever to make their food more delicious to eat. i believe this article 100% true and those who like fried food, it is better to make on your own. Even the fast food will do the same way but not like mixing plastic inside. A friend of mine who is working in food processing industry told me that he found that they dont care about hygiene at all. You know what they do? They mix the flour (maybe other things...) with the chicken and they just step on those chicken while they are mixing it. After all the process, and those chicken will be send to our famous fast food restaurant! And what we do is finger licking good!!
